Security officers hold positions of trust and responsibility; it follows that only the most reliable people must be assigned to these roles. Toward this end, Guardsmark has developed an unusually thorough employment process, ensuring that we screen out all applicants who could be questionable in any way, and that we select only individuals of the highest caliber.
All Guardsmark employees undergo:
- A detailed 40-page application
Guardsmark reviews employment, military, and education histories since age 18 and residential history for the past 10 years.
- Background and police record checks
We contact 10 years of former employers, neighbors, and other character references.
- Drug screening
Guardsmark uses government-approved laboratories to administer an extensive 10-panel drug test (plus testing for Ecstasy).
- Polygraph testing
Unless prohibited by law, we verify application details.
- Psychological testing
Every conditional employee undergoes the 567-question Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory-2, which is analyzed by a specially trained and certified psychologist.
- Final verification and clearance
Our Selection Controllers at the Memphis Administrative Center review every applicant file, ensuring that company standards have been met. This screening process results in honest, capable, and loyal employees. Because of our vigilant standards, you can know that the officers we place at your facility are dependable, reliable, and appropriate for your specific business environment.
